<p>The Vertical GPS watch from Suunto is functional and impresses with a battery life that won't run out of steam quickly. All this is housed in the usual well-made fibreglass-reinforced case with sapphire crystal and stainless steel bezel.</p> <p>With the highest GPS and tracking settings, the battery lasts a full 60 hours and in economy mode even up to 500 hours. It even lasts 30 days in pure time mode when all tracking and smartphone functions are switched on.</p> <p>Thanks to over 90 pre-installed sports modes, the Vertical is naturally there for all your activities. It records all relevant training information, which you can then analyse in detail on the watch and in the app. Sleep tracking, stress management, training planning and real-time coaching help you to get the most out of your training.</p> <p>Thanks to the support of all common satellite systems and a combined GPS and barometric altimeter, you can always keep your bearings when you're out and about. The topographical map on the large colour display also helps, of course. The barometer also provides you with important weather data, so you are warned of severe weather and can prepare for changes in the weather.</p> <p>Of course, the Vertical also has all kinds of smartphone features and is compatible with all relevant sports apps.</p> <p>Bergzeit field tester Arnold concluded: "To cut a long story short: The Suunto Vertical is a pleasure to take outside.
