Description

The Xenic 7 touring binding from Fritschi sets standards for lightweight pin bindings in terms of functionality and safety - the release can be optimally adjusted, especially for lighter skiers, with its Z-values of 3 to 7.

There are plenty of lightweight bindings nowadays, but the Xenic also scores with outstanding comfort, excellent power transmission and, above all, the highest safety standards.

The front jaw is made from the side and front. The values are set separately. To ensure that the safety function is also guaranteed in extreme situations, for example when the ski flexes a great deal on rough slopes, a length compensation of 10 mm keeps the release values constant. Incidentally, the two mounting pins are pivoted at the rear, which minimizes friction and therefore wear.

Note: With the exception of 5059730-001 (without stoppers), the stoppers are included in the delivery in the specified widths! The weight specifications refer to bindings with stoppers.

The stoppers included in the delivery do not have to be locked at the push of a button, as is usual with many lightweight counterparts, but fold in automatically at the first step. A safety plus for skinning up in frosty steep terrain, because the ski remains securely in place until the first step and cannot slip off unexpectedly.

The Swiss have also packed the toe piece with innovative details. Thanks to the defined stop and wide step-in pedal, getting started is effortless.

In contrast to other pin bindings, the pin jaws move horizontally and not like rocker arms. This has the advantage that the binding cannot open unintentionally when hit from below and therefore does not need to be locked manually.

In downhill mode, the binding is also kitted out with a kind of emergency release for frontal falls, as the pins open at an angle of no more than 75° when the tip of the boot is pressed against the stop.

Thanks to the wide bore pattern, Fritschi impresses with excellent power transmission and great downhill qualities. Your ski should be at least 70 mm wide.

With the Xenic 7 touring binding, the Swiss company has limited itself to a single-stage climbing aid. This not only saves weight, but is also completely sufficient in view of the shaft rotation of modern touring boots of 60° and more.

New compared to the previous model:
- Front operating lever with integrated metal inserts (more robust, easier handling)
- Heel unit with a metal sliding disk and metal sliding strips (easier to switch between walking and ski mode)
- Heel unit with aluminum plate (excellent stability on the descent)

Quality made in Switzerland!
