Description

The Hardangervidda is considered one of Norway's most popular touring areas because, on the one hand, the plateau does not make high technical demands on hikers and is therefore accessible to everyone and very family-friendly and, on the other hand, because it is easy to reach due to its central location in southern Norway and good transport connections. For skiers, it offers a whole range of interesting tours in an area that is considered one of the most snow-sure in Scandinavia. And the Rallarvegen cycle path along the Bergen Railway has become one of the top tourist attractions in recent years.</p

The Hochfjell plateau is also one of the best developed wilderness areas in Norway. The network of marked hiking trails covers around 1,200 km and is complemented by a dense network of huts. Over 25,000 visitors flock to the plateau every year. Nevertheless, the fell area still offers a magnificent nature experience in a wild and lonely landscape. The area is huge, and the numerous hiking routes can be combined as desired, so everything is usually well spread out.
<p

With this book, the author would like to guide you through this unique landscape, but at the same time draw your attention to its sensitive character. Damage caused to flora and fauna in particular is usually irreparable. In view of the increasing number of visitors, every individual needs to make an effort to ensure that this diverse landscape is preserved for future generations.
<p
